EIFFtv – Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje talking about screening his film, Farming, in Edinburgh

What does it mean for the film to play at
Edinburgh? It’s just an honour, for two reasons; we have two Scots on the production. My producer
Janice Williams and my music producer, who produced the soundtrack to the film, are both
Scottish, so it’s wonderful to be able to bring the film to their homes. And I think
the other reason is because just as a first time filmmaker, to be able to bring the film
home to a British audience, a Scottish audience. Last night the screening was phenomenal, it
was a full house and, you know, 40-50% were teenagers and that’s my target audience and
they totally got the themes and the messages that come out in this film. Such an insightful,
engaging dialogue after and that’s what I’ve always wanted. Just honoured to be in
Edinburgh for the first time.
