How to Crop and Edit WordPress Post Thumbnails

Welcome to WPBeginner and thank you for watching.
In today’s video, I’ll show you how to crop and edit WordPress post thumbnails. The post thumbnail editor plugin gives you more control over cropping and scaling your post thumbnails. To get started just install and activate the Post Thumbnail Editor plugin. Then go to add a new post and add an image
to the featured image area. When you do this you’ll now see a new link below the featured
image like this. I’m going to click on the post thumbnail editor link
and it’ll open up this editor screen. We can now edit the image that bests suits
our needs. If you need to edit older thumbnails, just
go to the media library section and mouse over an image. You’ll now see thumbnails link
we can click on that and we’ll get the thumbnail editor where we can edit these as well. Note only the image sizes you select here
will be affected by the change. Your original image will still be there if you need it. If you like this video click on the like button and go ahead and leave us a comment there, we’d love to hear from you. And subscribe to our YouTube channel to get the latest videos.

Hi. Thank you for your vdo. Could you please help me to fix when I share my post on Facebook, it came out without thumbnail. Thank you.

Ya but….those who need this are most likely people who have images that are two big, and without a way to shrink the image to fit within the allowed crop this is useless lol. Unless I'm missing something…wish you had shown how to make a large image fit within a smaller box.

I've searched online and I can't find anything, the code I found I tried but didn't work. Many thanks Thomas
