Thank you so much for this video. I just wish I'd seen it months ago. I can't count the amount of times I've tried to square my fabric up just watching it get smaller and smaller each time I trim bits off. I'm going to put this into practice right now. Thanks again. Hi Kim, great info, thank you! I have a question about yardage. When you first start out, matching your selvages, what do you do if you have a 108" wide piece that is maybe 6 or 7 yards long (think quilt backing)? Or even just a piece that's 2-3 yards? I find laying them down on the floor (right after a good vacuuming) is helpful, but it's still pretty tedious getting it all matched up. Pre-washing seems to exacerbate the issue…
