Most powerful installation I have ever seen
You should check this exhibit out at the International Civil Rights Center and Museum while it is here until June 2016. It is moving and and excellent exhibit to see. Mr. Hayes did a wonderful job.
Seeing those white people walk around and gaze at and inspect the sculpture re-creates an antebellum environment for me. For that reason, I'd probably never visit the exhibit. It would make me too angry. But I think the art is genius not only in its technical and aesthetic aspects, but also because white people's interaction with the art brings another, historical, racial aspect to it.
